Hello Loves! I wanted to share with you that I will be starting a new aspect to the blog, Wellness Wednesdays! Every Wednesday, I’ll be sharing a post focused on wellness. By wellness, I mean, the quality of your state of being and I will focus on your mental and physical state of being. For this Wellness Wednesday post, I’d like to share with you a very dark time in my life. A time when I was clinically depressed, had deep anxiety, and was suicidal. A time when I was in now way shape or form, well.
I’ve shared this story in a previous blog, however, I think it’s important to share because I want you to know that you are not alone. When I was in my early twenties, I was not mentally well. I was lost, searching for who I was, and dealing with a great deal of loneliness. One day, I was overwhelmed, my soul was tired, and in deep despair so I decided to commit suicide. I drank a package of sleeping pills with alcohol, hoping to never wake up again. Fortunately, I failed at my attempt and realized that something needed to change and that change needed to occur within me. I want to encourage you to never give up on yourself. No matter how hard your circumstances or life may get, you are not alone and you deserve to live a happy life! You matter, you are meant to be alive, and you are meant to thrive! Remember, this world needs you and because you exist, you matter!
